Ashgabat prepares for the summit of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye
Ashgabat is preparing to host a summit of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Within the framework of preparations for the forum, meetings are being held between the ministers of foreign affairs, transport and energy of the three countries, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper today, with reference to the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
“An agreement was reached to hold a summit of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye in our country, and we again announce our readiness to organize this meeting in our country”, - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at the talks with Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Shentop, who arrived in Ashgabat with visit.
According to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, within the framework of preparations for the trilateral summit, work is underway on documents to be signed during the high-level meeting.
Earlier it was reported that during his visit to Ashgabat, Erdogan intends to discuss issues of joint projects in the fuel and energy sector with the leaders of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
