China is ready to create a modern transport and logistics system in Turkmenistan
China is ready to help Turkmenistan in accelerating the construction of transport infrastructure and creating a modern transport and logistics system. This is stated in the Joint Statement of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Xi Jinping following the talks held today in Beijing.
In the document, the parties note that infrastructure connectivity is a new point of growth in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and China.
In this regard, the need to accelerate the coordination of the draft “Agreements between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the PRC on international road transport” was emphasized, the need to promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of connecting roads and cross-border transport, increasing the number of flights and the volume of transportation of China-Kyrgyzstan rail container trains was noted. - Turkmenistan - Iran and international multimodal transportation China - Kyrgyzstan -

According to the Turkmen State News Agency, at the talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that at present, Turkmenistan, together with partners, is creating an extensive network of transport, transit and logistics infrastructure of a combined type along the East-West and North-South lines.
“In the future, it will include transit corridors leading to the regions of the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea basin, and the Baltic. This opens up the best land route to the European and Middle Eastern markets through the territory of Central Asia from the Asia-Pacific region”, the head of Turkmenistan said.
