Topical issues of cooperation were discussed by representatives of the agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" and the company "AD Ports Group"
The heads of the AD Ports Group company of the United Arab Emirates and the Turkmendenizderyayollary agency discussed topical issues of cooperation via video link, Turkmenportal reports with reference to the Turkmenistan Maritime and River Transport Agency.
During the meeting, issues of management of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, the development of logistics and the establishment of cooperation in the field of maritime transport, as well as the introduction of a digital system in the transport sector of Turkmenistan were discussed.
In addition, it was proposed to bring ready-made ships of the Emirati company to the Caspian Sea and invest in the construction of new ships on the territory of Turkmenistan.
One of the topics discussed was the possibility of transferring the container terminal of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport on long-term terms to the trust management of AD Ports Group.
The parties stressed that every effort will be made to further develop cooperation in the field of maritime transport between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
It is worth noting that this meeting was held as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and AD Ports Group in September 2022.
