Mercedes-Benz presented a film dedicated to the record-breaking run of the EQXX electric car

Mercedes-Benz has presented a documentary film dedicated to the record-breaking run of the EQXX electric car. Auto.ru reports this.

In March 2024, the EQXX traveled 1010 kilometers from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) to Dubai (UAE) on a single charge, thereby setting a new record for energy efficiency.

Viewers can see how the preparation for the race took place (checking and charging the electric car, as well as laying out the route), as well as the race itself with all its difficulties.

The EQXX covered a distance of 1010 kilometers at an average speed of 79,4 km/h. At the same time, at the finish line, the on-board computer reported that the energy reserve in the battery allows you to travel another 309 kilometers.

But Mercedes-Benz considers the main achievement not the distance traveled, but energy efficiency. The EQXX consumed an average of only 7,4 kWh of electricity per 100 kilometers, which is a record figure.

There are no plans for a production version of the EQXX, but Mercedes-Benz is using the concept car as a mobile laboratory to test new technologies in the field of electric mobility.
