Formula-1 car driven by Hamilton and Montoya to be auctioned

In a few days, the prestigious RM Sotheby’s auction will offer a unique opportunity to purchase a McLaren-Mercedes MP4-21 racing car, which witnessed the brilliant starts of legendary racers Lewis Hamilton and Juan Pablo Montoya.

Experts estimate the value of this historic car at up to 3,5 million dollars, auto.ru reports.

Designed by motorsport genius Adrian Newey before moving to Red Bull Racing, the MP4-21 was his final creation for McLaren. It was the car that Montoya drove in the first races of the 2006 season, and Hamilton successfully tested the car.

Preserved in perfect condition, the car underwent restoration in 2019 and is now ready to win the heart of a new collector.
