Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan strengthen energy partnership

Key negotiations on the development of cooperation in the fuel and energy complex (FEC) between representatives of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were held in the capital of Turkmenistan. The Uzbek delegation was headed by Energy Minister Zh. Mirzamakhmudov, TDH reports.

During a series of meetings, the parties conducted a comprehensive analysis of the current state of interaction in the energy sector and discussed promising directions for its expansion.

Particular attention was paid to finding new opportunities to deepen the partnership between Ashgabat and Tashkent in the fuel and energy sector.

Representatives of both countries emphasized their desire to bring bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level. This process is planned to be based on the principles of openness and mutual trust, while taking into account the national interests of each state.

The negotiation participants unanimously noted the strategic importance of the past meetings for the further development of relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It is expected that the results of these discussions will serve as a solid foundation for the implementation of joint projects in the energy sector and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
