Turkmenistan strengthens transport links with Armenia, Iran and Kazakhstan

Turkmenistan continues to strengthen its role in international transport infrastructure. At recent negotiations in Tehran between the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, the initiative to create a new transport and transit corridor Armenia-Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan was announced, TDH reports.

This route promises to become an important link in the international transport network, contributing to the development of trade relations and economic integration in the region.

The development of the transport sector is a key direction of the state policy of Turkmenistan, implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The favorable geographical location of the country and significant investments in transport infrastructure allow Turkmenistan to play an important role in transit transport between Asia and Europe.

The new Armenia-Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan corridor will be an important addition to existing routes and will open up new opportunities for international cooperation and sustainable development, the source notes.
