A telephone conversation took place between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Hussein.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties exchanged views on the current state of Turkmen-Iraqi relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Particular attention was paid to the exchange of bilateral visits at the highest and high levels, as well as the continuation of contacts in a bilateral format within the framework of international organizations.
The ministers noted the importance and need to continue close cooperation on issues of the regional and international agenda, the source notes.
