"RZD Logistics" implemented a project for the delivery of building materials for the cultural and park complex in Ashgabat
JSC "RZD Logistics" (the logistics operator of Russian railways) organized the delivery of building materials from a domestic manufacturer from Russia to Turkmenistan by rail, the company reports.
The project for the delivery of granite tiles and decorative elements for the new monument to Makhtumkuli Fragi and the improvement of the adjacent territory, as well as the facing of one of the squares of Ashgabat, was implemented by the St. Petersburg branch of "RZD Logistics".
Deliveries from the station Kupchinskaya of the October Railway to the station Gypdzhak of the Turkmen Railway were carried out in several stages over six months. A total of 68 wagons with building materials were sent. In addition to the direct transportation of the cargo, the services of "RZD Logistics" included the provision of rolling stock, the development and coordination of the loading sketch, the securing of the cargo in the wagon, as well as loading and unloading operations at the railway station Kupchinskaya.
"This is already the second large-scale project for the delivery of tiles from this manufacturer to Turkmenistan, which was successfully implemented by our branch. In 2021, 105 wagons were delivered in a record short time of 5 months. The modernization of cultural and historical objects is a responsible task, it requires uninterrupted logistical support and unconditional compliance with delivery deadlines. We appreciate the opportunity given to the branch to participate in such projects, we plan to further actively develop cooperation with the largest enterprises of the North-West of Russia and help manufacturers increase export shipments," - said the head of the branch of JSC "RZD Logistics" in St. Petersburg Maxim Losev.
