Tesla plans to build a new huge Supercharger station

Tesla plans to build a new huge Supercharger station, which will have enough space and power to simultaneously charge more than 160 electric vehicles.

According to the application for a construction permit, the huge electric vehicle charging station will be built in Kern County, California. Currently, the largest in the world is the station at the Harris Ranch complex in Coalinga, California, with 98 charging spots. But thanks to 164 spots, the new facility will be almost twice as large, serving the growing number of electric vehicles on the roads - both Tesla and other brands.

Tesla will build 16 elongated compartments that will facilitate the charging of vehicles towing a trailer. In addition, solar canopies will be installed on each parking spot, which, presumably, will supply electricity to several stationary batteries, making the process of refueling an electric vehicle as environmentally friendly as possible. This will also help reduce the cost of charging by reducing the consumption of energy obtained from the grid.

Presumably, the new station will open next year.

It is worth adding that the largest electric vehicle charging station in the world, with 637 spots, is located in the city of Shenzhen, China. Below is a photo of this station.
