Turkmen delegates in paris discuss cultural diversity
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the country's National Commission for UNESCO, as well as the diplomatic mission in Paris are taking part in the 17th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, the Turkmen Embassy in France reports.
Within the framework of the meeting, which focused on the protection and promotion of cultural expression and the celebration in 2025 of the anniversary of the adoption of the relevant UNESCO Convention, the Work Plan of the session and the Work Plan of the committee in 2024-2025 were approved.
"Until March 1, 2024, the work of the 17th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions will continue, at which it is also planned to consider issues of cooperation with civil society organizations to ensure the effective implementation of the Convention based on the broad participation of civil society," the message says.
Turkmenistan ratified the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions three years ago.
