A conference in the field of tourism will be held in Turkmenistan from March 27 to 28
On March 1, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Myakhrijemal Mammedova informed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about preparations for the international forum “Main directions and potential for tourism development in Turkmenistan.” The event will take place from March 27 to 28, 2024. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The conference will bring together leaders and representatives of specialized international organizations and leading tourism structures in a number of countries. The event will include meetings, a scientific and practical forum, and a ceremony for signing documents on cooperation in the field of tourism.
Foreign guests will also get acquainted with the potential of the “smart city” of Arkadag, historical attractions, museums and tourism opportunities of Turkmenistan, and will take part in celebrations in honor of the announcement of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world this year.
The head of state noted that, taking into account the natural features of the republic, it is very important to develop the tourism sector, introducing historical monuments and cultural values. In this context, Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed Myahrijemal Mammedova to hold the upcoming event at a high organizational level.
