The various types of goods exhibited at the exhibition, the capabilities of the processing industry of the neighboring state, the production capacity of the shopping complex and social infrastructure demonstrate the successes achieved in these areas.

Partnerships in the fuel, energy and transport and communications sectors are expanding.

Noting that the exhibition dedicated to the production potential of the neighboring state and the possibilities for developing ties in relevant areas plays an important role in enhancing Turkmen-Afghan cooperation, Hero-Arkadag focused on the importance of systematically holding such events.

Afghan manufacturers and representatives of the trade and economic complex of the neighboring country emphasized that for them the visit of the exhibition by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, who got acquainted with the products presented here, was a great honor, and from the bottom of their hearts they expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hero-Arkadag.

Then, here, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with representatives of the Afghan side.

During the business conversation, important issues for both sides were discussed regarding the development of cooperation in the fuel, energy and trade and economic spheres. It was also attended by the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Çalik Holding group of companies, Ahmet Çalık.

Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan Alhaj Nuruddin Azizi first of all expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag for the hospitality provided on Turkmen soil and the support provided by the state in organizing the exhibition of Afghan goods.

Also, the guest, on behalf of the Afghan people, expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the attention paid to the development of Turkmen-Afghan cooperation, ensuring peace and sustainable development in the region.

The Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan emphasized that Turkmenistan has accumulated rich experience in conducting international events, and expressed his country's interest in implementing joint projects.

Noting that the Turkmen and Afghan peoples are connected by ancient traditions of brotherhood and mutual respect, common spiritual and historical values, Hero-Arkadag said that Turkmenistan, based on its status of permanent neutrality in resolving the internal situation in Afghanistan, supports only political and diplomatic efforts.

Along with this, economic development and improvement of the well-being of the people have a positive impact on the internal situation. Our country has been carrying out concrete work in this direction, building social infrastructure facilities in Afghanistan for many years, including health centers and schools.

In addition, it is necessary to note the importance of large projects carried out in the trade, economic, fuel and energy and transport sectors. In this regard, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line and the railway system occupy a special place among them.

The successful implementation of these projects of the century will contribute not only to the interests of our countries and peoples, but also to improving the socio-economic sphere of other neighboring states and peoples of the region.

The construction of a power transmission line along the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan route and the commissioning of power plants in Afghanistan with the participation of the Turkmen side will give a powerful impetus to the development of relations in this direction.

Continuing the conversation about this, Hero-Arkadag noted that transport corridors of international importance are being built in our country. The railway line along the Kerki–Ymamnazar–Akina–Andkhoy route is important in the development of relations between the two countries. And at the same time, much attention was paid to the importance of commissioning the Serhetabat-Turgundi branch, which is an important part of the international transport corridor.

During the meeting, noting that Turkmenistan plays a significant role in the region in the development of transport and transit corridors, the guest emphasized that the Afghan side is showing great interest in using the transit capabilities of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. The importance of the modern multimodal transport and transit corridor, created in accordance with the Agreement signed between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, was also discussed, which contributed to the practical revival of the Great Silk Road.

Noting that the proposals put forward at the meeting will be studied, Hero-Arkadag said that our country will continue to provide support for the socio-economic and cultural revival of Afghanistan.

As emphasized, cooperation in the trade and economic sphere is the main direction of relations between the two countries. At the same time, great importance is attached to increasing the volume of exports of various food products and processing industry products. Organizing the export of environmentally friendly products, which are in great demand on the international market, is one of the key issues of our time. In this regard, great importance is attached to the comprehensive development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

In our country, which is geographically advantageously located, the tasks set to increase the capabilities of transport and transit corridors, construction of logistics infrastructure facilities, and high-speed highways are currently being successfully implemented. This causes an increase in the number of countries in the region interested in using the opportunities of Turkmenistan’s transit corridors.

Also during the meeting, important attention was paid to issues related to the construction of grain barns, shopping complexes and other facilities in the border area that are of great importance for both countries.

Noting that the intensification of international cooperation in our country has become an important direction of state development, Hero-Arkadag focused on the fact that activities in this direction should be productive. It was emphasized that independent neutral Turkmenistan is always open to establishing relations on the basis of mutual respect and understanding for any interested country and authoritative international organizations of the region and the world.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the representatives of the Afghan side on the approach of the holy month of Remezan and wished that Almighty Allah would accept all the prayers read and sadaqa given in this blessed month, and wished everyone success in their work.
