Today, Turkmenistan will host the opening ceremony of the Dokmachilar cultural center of the country’s Ministry of Textile Industry.

On this occasion, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent his congratulations to the participants of the ceremony, TDH reports.

“For many years now, the folklore and ethnographic ensemble Dokmaçylar has been performing colorful dances with elements of the ancient wonderful traditions of the Turkmen people, including outside our country, thereby making a significant contribution to the popularization of our heritage. The fiery performances of young dancers accompanied by the unique enchanting sound of national musical instruments truly fascinate every aesthete,” the Message notes.

The new building of the cultural center provides the most comfortable conditions for the creative activities of the ensemble, in particular for musicians and dancers. The equipment of the dance halls of the art center is at the highest level and meets international standards, which will provide enormous opportunities for the creative and fruitful work of art workers.

The ensemble's repertoire includes over one hundred musical, song and dance works. The main goal of the ensemble is to enrich national culture and art, folk art in general with new elements, as well as their popularization. Many members of the creative team were awarded honorary titles and became winners of the competition for the Türkmeniň Altyn asyry Prize of the President of Turkmenistan.

“The new center will provide workers in the creative field with all the necessary opportunities to enrich and develop the culture and art of our people,” the President concluded, wishing the ceremony participants good health, prosperity and new achievements in the development of national culture and art.

Let us recall that the Dokmaçylar cultural center was built in Ashgabat on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The decision to build the center was made at a Government meeting on April 16, 2021.
