Keyless entry and engine start are now paid in Mazda

Mazda has decided to charge money for convenient features in its cars. Now, to use keyless entry and remotely start the car, owners will have to pay 10 USD per month. Previously, these services were free for the first three years, Ferra.ru reports.

The company explains this decision by saying that it wants to offer its customers even more useful functions. In addition to keyless entry and remote start, the service package includes the ability to monitor the vehicle's condition, fuel level and even automatically call for help in the event of an accident.

Mazda is not alone in its desire to move additional services to a paid subscription. Many other automakers, such as BMW, Toyota and Mercedes, are already going down this path.
