BMW has become the most popular electric vehicle manufacturer in Europe

BMW has overtaken Tesla and become the leader in electric car sales in Europe. According to the analytical company JATO Dynamics, the Bavarian automaker sold 14 869 electric cars in July, while the American competitor sold 14 561 cars, reports daily.afisha.ru.

BMW's EV sales have grown by an impressive 35% in a year, demonstrating the brand's steady growth in the European EV market. At the same time, Tesla has seen sales decline, with the Model Y and Model 3 down 16% and 17% respectively over the past 12 months.

In addition to BMW and Tesla, the leaders in electric vehicle sales in Europe were Volkswagen (12,2 thousand cars), Volvo (10.5 thousand cars) and Audi (8,6 thousand cars).
