New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport launched for testing in Europe
The new generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been spotted undergoing road tests. Despite the thick camouflage, some design features are noticeable. Thus, the front part of the car has acquired almost rectangular shapes, which brings it closer to the latest generation L200/Triton pickup, auto.ru reports.
Apparently, the new Pajero Sport will be built on the same platform. At the same time, the rear part of the body retains recognizable features of the current model.
The developers note that the test car is a so-called "mule", on which the chassis characteristics are honed. The final design of the production version will differ from the prototype.
The new model is expected to receive a modernized frame, lighter and more rigid, as well as an improved 2.4-liter diesel engine with a power of 150 to 204 hp. The interior will also undergo significant changes and will probably be unified with the L200/Triton pickup. The premiere of the new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is scheduled for 2025.
