The cotton harvest season has started in Turkmenistan
On September 11, an important agricultural campaign began in Turkmenistan - the cotton harvest, TDH reports.
With the blessing of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the harvest began in the velayats of the country, which is key for the country’s agro-industrial complex. The head of state wished cotton growers and all agricultural workers great success in their work.
Cotton growing plays an important role in the economy of Turkmenistan, contributing to the implementation of national programs for import substitution and increasing export potential. The natural and climatic conditions of the country are favorable for growing various varieties of cotton, which makes cotton fiber a valuable raw material for the textile industry, the products of which are in demand on the world market.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of agricultural activities for a successful harvest.
As part of the campaign, round-the-clock technical and service maintenance of equipment was organized, and conditions were created for productive work and rest for employees. The beginning of the harvest was traditionally blessed by venerable elders, offering prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the country.
