Turkmenistan sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an Order on the transfer of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, including baby food, food products, wheat, urea, diesel fuel, gasoline and cement.

According to TDH, the assistance was provided at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Care and was timed to coincide with the laying of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline section on the Turkmen-Afghan border.

This action continues Turkmenistan’s many years of efforts to support Afghanistan and strengthen friendship between peoples. Neutral Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Afghanistan and maintaining peaceful life in the country.

Representatives of both countries took part in the ceremony of handing over the humanitarian cargo. Residents of Afghanistan expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their constant help and support.
