The delegation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took part in the Second Interparliamentary Forum of Central Asian States, which took place on September 12 in Khiva, Uzbekistan.
As reported on the website of the Mejlis, the forum is aimed at supporting friendly cooperation between the Central Asian states at the parliamentary level, developing interparliamentary relations in the region, and disseminating the positive experience of active participation of parliamentarians in the socio-economic development of the country.
The forum participants shared their national experience in improving the work of representative institutions, increasing the participation of women and youth in the socio-economic life of the state, and also spoke about the positive principles of expanding cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups and specialized committees, the source notes.
