Meetings between the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the leadership of Pakistan took place

As we previously reported, today the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov began to Pakistan. As part of the visit, the Turkmen delegation met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, a wide range of issues related to interaction in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.

Also on this day, the Turkmen delegation met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahboz Sharif.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed key areas of partnership between the two countries. Among the most pressing issues, joint activities in the energy, transport, communications, and trade sectors were considered.

The parties reached agreements to intensify the preparation of bilateral agreements and memorandums planned for signing during upcoming visits at the highest state and government levels, the source notes.
