Ambassador of Iran to Turkmenistan sees great potential of SEZ "Serakhs"

In order to study the transport potential, the Iranian Ambassador to Ashgabat Ali Mojtabi Rozbahani visited the Serakhs special economic zone in Iran, as well as the Turkmen-Iranian Dostluk dam and the customs point on the border with Turkmenistan.

During the trip, the diplomat held meetings with local officials and representatives of transport companies. The ambassador has already conducted similar visits in recent months at the Lotfabad and Badzhigiran border checkpoints, the source notes.

Ali Mojtabi Rozbahani sees great potential for strengthening the development of the Serakhs Special Economic Zone for the north-eastern part of Iran and the importance of seizing new opportunities for trade with Central Asian countries.

The Iranian Embassy plans to continue periodic visits to 4 checkpoints on the Turkmen-Iranian border.
