Chinese company invests in Turkish electric vehicle market

Ganfeng Lithium Company, a global leader in lithium products, has announced plans to build a large electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant in Turkey. The joint venture with the Turkish company Yigit Aku involves an investment of

500 million USD and an annual production of batteries with a total capacity of 5 GWh. Auto.ru reports this.

This agreement marks a significant step in the development of the Turkish automotive market, where three new electric vehicle brands have emerged in recent years: TOGG, Very and Amperino.

Cooperation with Ganfeng will allow Türkiye not only to provide itself with its own batteries, but also to become a regional center for the production of electric vehicles.
