600 000 Great Wall Poer pickups rolled off the production line
Great Wall Motor's Jingmen Smart Factory has produced the 600,000th Great Wall Cannon series pickup truck, also known as Poer or Pao. This event became a record for Chinese pickup trucks: the brand managed to achieve this mark in just 4 years and 10 months, reports runews24.ru.
The Great Wall Cannon series includes the Cannon, King Kong Cannon and Shanhai Cannon models. The anniversary model was a Shanhai Cannon in the top-end Performance configuration on the Tank platform. The pickup is equipped with a 3.0T+9AT engine and costs 279 800 yuan.
GWM's Jingmen plant, which was built with an investment of 6 billion yuan, began mass production in 2022. Not only pickup trucks, but also other Great Wall car models are produced here.
