Xiaomi SU7 gets an extreme Ultra version

In March 2024, Xiaomi shook up the electric vehicle market by introducing its first-born, the SU7 sedan with a dynamic design inspired by the Porsche Taycan. The debut turned out to be triumphant: in the first half hour more than 50 000 orders were placed, but by the end of June the company was able to ship only 30 000 cars (CAAM data), kolesa.ru reports.

On July 19, at a large-scale presentation of Xiaomi, where various new products were presented, the head of the company Lei Jun announced an extreme modification of the electric sedan - Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.

The presented prototype, positioned as a purely track car for breaking records, will not go into mass production. However, its developments will form the basis of the road version SU7 Ultra, which will debut in 2025. It is expected that the production model will receive a less aggressive aerodynamic body kit and, possibly, more modest performance.

The characteristics of the monstrous Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype are impressive:

Three-motor power plant consisting of two HyperEngine V8s electric motors (578 hp each) and one HyperEngine V6s (392 hp).

Total power - 1548 hp.

Acceleration 0-100 km/h in 1,97 seconds.

Acceleration 0-200 km/h in 5,96 seconds.

Maximum speed is more than 350 km/h.

We have to wait until 2025 to find out whether the production SU7 Ultra will retain the stated characteristics of the monstrous prototype.
